Where does anxiety come from? I can tell you that, not once, have I found a rational or relevant cause for the anxiety response in my clients struggling with this huge issue. And neither have they.
Not once, have we looked at the issue at its core and come to the conclusion, together, that they are right for feeling all of those feelings and are justified in their heightened state of fear.
It always comes down to an irrelevant response to a non-existent threat in their life. And this is one of the reasons that I love working with all of the amazing and courageous clients who come to me for anxiety – because the liberation that they experience in the moment that this all becomes so obvious and clear to them is the most profound, powerful and mind-blowing moment. They are finally free from a force that has been running their mind and emotions for years or decades that they see, in plain view while in hypnosis, isn’t even there.
How mind-blowing is that?
So where does anxiety come from and what do we discover in an RTT (Rapid Transformational Therapy) session for dissolving it?
We uncover a very old, limiting belief that has been crippling the adult in my chair and was created by a very small child who didn’t understand themselves, those around them or how life worked.
What’s a common response from my client in this moment of uncovering the root cause? “Wow, that has nothing to do with my life now. That’s not me. That’s not even my reality now!”
But it all felt so real and true for them before our session because the subconscious mind is the part of our mind that is running 95% of our thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Whatever is implanted in the subconscious mind, is what seems true to us. So to dissolve anxiety for good, you need to find the root cause which is the belief that is fueling that emotion and response to life and is held deep within the subconscious mind.
It sounds complex but in truth it is so simple and the change happens rapidly. In fact, the transformation begins at the exact moment we find the root cause, the event, the moment(s) in time that the client’s mind created this limiting belief.
In RTT we say that ‘understanding is power’ and this the moment when your innate power returns through profound understanding.
Once you understand that the anxiety has no relevance in your life, you are free.
Nobody should be living with anxiety and trying to cope with it. It isn’t our natural state or how nature intended for us to live. Anxiety is an error in the mind and nothing more. It’s not “who you are” or “how you respond to life”. It’s not yours or a natural part of you.
One powerful tip I give all of my anxiety clients from the beginning is to immediately stop calling it “my anxiety” and simply refer to it as “the anxiety”. It’s not a part of who you are naturally, so don’t give it a personal identification. It’s just a response to life that can be changed when you change the program within your subconscious that is creating that feeling within you.
You have complete control over your mind, should you choose to take it. Everything in life, all of your results, start from what is implanted deep within your mind. If you want to change your life, change your mind and tend to what is running deep within the subconscious. This is the source of your power and freedom.
To your freedom and happiness.
